What hobbies do you enjoy? What are you passionate about in your life right now?
From a young age, I’ve always been an imaginative kid. That’s where I found my love for the arts, especially drawing. I'm also passionate about martial arts, heavily inspired by my dad, where then I was introduced to BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). I also love to skate; it gives me a sense of calmness and peace. Lastly, I like listening to music. I listen to a lot of old-school music, and I’m a big Bob Marley fan. My future goal would be to learn how to surf good.

Can you share with us a significant achievement from your career and a challenging experience that taught you valuable lessons?
Winning my first gold medal was one of my proudest achievements, as well as the opportunity to train with some of the best athletes around the world. Although my initial experiences in competition weren’t the best, all the losses I've had have taught me so much that I count it as a win. Coming back from a tough loss and then training the next day is a win in itself—never quitting. It’s simply another opportunity for me to grow and come back stronger.
Who or what inspires and fuels your passion?
The people I surround myself with inspire me the most. My family, who are always supporting me and there for me when I need guidance. My coaches and teammates for constantly helping me improve on my game every day. And lastly, positivity, it's a happiness magnet. It attracts all good things and good people will be drawn to you. I believe that replacing negative thoughts with positive ones will give you positive results.
What practices help you connect with your HGHR self?
Connecting with my higher self means stepping out of my comfort zone, facing difficult obstacles, and conquering them, learning from past mistakes, and continuously growing.
Are there other initiatives or projects you would like to collaborate with us to contribute further to the community’s growth?
To offer self-defense classes to kids around the world. Bullying is one of the biggest threats to a child’s well-being, and I want kids to be able to stand up and defend themselves.
