Connect with Your HGHR Self | Paulo Varela

Paulo Varela talks about his life, and how he takes it one day at a time and connects with his Higher self.

What keeps you busy at the moment?
"My endeavors are mostly in media and entertainment with great interest towards cultivating culture. I also host events and create events on the side. I often do voice overs/acting that’s some of what I think I do. Most days I’m the managing director of @blackstrawprod. I was also an incorporator for the Free Energy Cooperative as well as being an admin/convener for the green consciousness
advocacyPORMAL."

What are your interests?
"The foundation of my interests all revolve around outdoor adventure, so naturally, I gravitated towards activities that are done outside. I started rock climbing when I was a teenager, and it formed a whole lot of what I’m passionate about today. Since then, I’ve found love in the lines of skating, surfing and formed plenty more adventures while raising my appreciation for nature and our existence.

What are your biggest accomplishments and/or failures?
"From working with the country’s finest teams and artists, to international standard heavy hitters who require the best output, working on stages and live events, I find that the most redeeming accomplishments lay in the task at hand. We’re only as good as our last project, so every single one, no matter how huge or intimate the project is, whether it’s for 100 or 100,000, both deserve every bit of attention to create memories that last. This is what should drive you to avoid any failures whatsoever.  I do, however, find great fulfillment in the overall experience of creating, providing, and living these, often, wild moments."

What inspires and/or motivates you?
"No one can ever quantify the true value of our experiences. By giving value to each moment, we live totally in the present. I’m motivated by those who formed my perspective, well enough to enliven it myself. This keeps me passionate at what I do, and I impart the same joy I feel at a party, a concert, or even as simple as announcing names to a winning raffle."

How do you connect with your Higher self?
"Much of my journey in this life has been a path of learning and example. I take heed from my mistakes, and the mistakes of others, so as to never be bound by the same predicament. Every opportunity to learn allows me to see things in a different light, and maybe even a much better approach towards any obstacle. Staying active and attentive keeps me sharp, while also appreciating the mellow times to be dull. I take it one day at a time, while never keeping an eye away from the foreground."

What other campaigns or projects would you want to collaborate with us that can contribute further to the community?
"Providing relevance by existence may be inevitable, but staying impactful through it leaves a better mark. Our communities appreciate impactful action, whether it’s provoking information through satire, or direct moves that initiate change, what matters is something is kept moving forward."

"In a world where prejudice and repression still exist, choose to always appreciate your HGHR self. Be grateful and thankful and let it inspire you, and others around you. Salamat Es. Pass it on."
